| Protecting Audio Cd's problem. Hello all, I have a problem with CloneAudioProtector v 1.1. When I use it to protect my cd's I cant play them on my car stereo.(I have tried many cars and only first few songs work). When I only choose Sys Protection as my protection I can play it in my car and most of other cars and stereos except in Jetta's lol It is very weird. My question is why it wont play when I use the Cactus protection and is the sys protection enough to protect my cd? and why it wont work on that one stereo. I also was searching for CCD-Lock but all links for it are down. Is that prog any better? I have a NEC DVD_RW ND_2500A and use maxtor cd-r. Any advice is very appriciated Thanx |

Just give up. Seriously, there is no honest reason to want to do this anyway. No offense, but EVERY time someone comes in here asking this - and it happens once or twice a week - it's because they want to try to do something vaguely illegitimate. If that isn't you, kudos! But be aware that you still can't do that.

| Re: Protecting Audio Cd's problem. The reasoon I want to do this is because I make my own mixes and give them out to friends and people. I play at my local clubs and jus hand the cd's out. I put a nice label on them with my name so ppl know its my. I dont want someone to copy my cd'd with NERO and call tell everyone it was them that made it...you feel me? |

| Re: Protecting Audio Cd's problem. You right....but all I want to do is just use this little program to put a little protection on the cd's so that a moron with no knowledge of computers could copy it. And with CAP and the sysProtection method I get that....nero wont copy it it shows as only one track....but it does not play in certain cd-players. All I want to know is what the problem could be and can it be fixed....are the cd's to cheap or the cd drive. Thats all I want to know lol If the problem cant be solved thats cool....i'll live with it. |

| Re: Protecting Audio Cd's problem. Too much trouble man, you are wasting your time...trust me! Concentrate more on mixing, and checking out new tracks/gear/etc...

Oh and Gurm...you still dont get my drift dude. Im not trying to make the cd un-rippeble....that is imposible...instead im trying to eliminate little programs that wont copy them like NERO or windows mediaPlayer. Believe it or not not everyone knows about EAC. but anyways.... Thanx guys!

A copy protection method might prevent Joe Casual User from ripping your cd, but any even vaguely competent user (or a Linux one) can rip your discs with ease anyway.

| Re: Protecting Audio Cd's problem. DJMind and Gurm are absolutely right, nevertheless I can understand your motives. This is the software (download site) you were looking for (CD-Lock): http://www.cd-lock.com/
