| Problems while Installing Half Life 2 Well its really been a headache installing this game. Just exactly how do you go about starting this game. For starters, it just keeps downloading things from the net which in itself is a big waste of time. Any suggestions / proper procedure for installation recommended ?

| Re: Problems while Installing Half Life 2 The Steam engine is required to play/install HL2. The files are encrypted on the disc, and can only be decrypted by connecting to the Steam servers. Once the game is completely decrypted and updated it can be played without connecting to the internet. The FAQ at Valve's website has more information regarding this, I would suggest having a look there if you have any further questions. |
