Problem with F.E.A.R

Well first what happened is that whenever I loaded my directors edition ‘f.e.a.r’ into my cd drive a message came up saying ‘can’t find original cd’. So I uninstalled alcohol 120 % and then tried again, still the same problem. I then uninstalled the game and cleaned the registry from entries that game might have left, installed it again, STILL same problem. I eventually managed to get it to work, but I think a program called xfire might have had something to do with it. That is not completely fixed however as it still happens once every so often.

My main problem right now is that after uninstalling the game, I used the cheat codes to get back to the level where I was. I then used a cheat code to get ALL weapons, I typed ‘t’ and then ‘gear’. So then when I got back to where I was, I ‘dropped’ the extra weapons, but then I could not scroll forward and backwards with my mouse wheel to get my weapons to start using them, why is that?? My BIGGEST problem now is that I can not pick up any other main weapons, such as a sniper rifle, in Interval One at Exeunt Omnes, near the end there is an automatic sniper gun, I cant pick that up for some reason, when I press the F key I just hear a faint beep noise in the game. The same occurred in Interval 04 where the enemies had shot guns, I can clearly see them on the floor but I can’t pick that weapon up either. I have updated the game with the patches and now have version 1.6.

ANY HELP????
