Re: Problem detected windows shutdown to prevent damage well the blue screen of death really sucks. you can probably boot in safe mode and then restore to a current setting. either that your gonna probably have to install a clean fresh windows version.

Re: Problem detected windows shutdown to prevent damage My guess is your pc now sees that vitural drive as a real drive and probably it's not configured right. If you can get in using safe mode disable the vitural drive / program from starting up then get rid of it till you figure it out. Use the Start / Run / msconfig. It should be in the startup list or somewhere in there. When you reboot it then should not be loading up the vitural drive.

Re: Problem detected windows shutdown to prevent damage Hi and welcome to the forum ![]() I suggest you to insert in google this microsoft error 0x0000007B There are some references on microsoft webpage, but you can choose the right one because you know better what happened to your computer. Articles are referring to different causes, some regarding the installation of SP2, other regarding other errors. So choose the right page and see if you find a solution here. Sorry if I'm not able to say you a more precise link

Re: Problem detected windows shutdown to prevent damage I have exactly the same probelm only I just did a windows system restore, to a previous date to try and fix something. So I left it to do that and when I came back a blue screen error was showing. The thing is i can't even get on by using 'safe mode', maybe it has something to do with i have a different error code or something. This is it: *** STOP: 0x0000007B (0XF8890528, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000) Please someone help me! ![]()

Re: Problem detected windows shutdown to prevent damage There's not really any reason to post the same query twice in the same thread. And I bet you haven't done as Geno suggested. Doing it yealds plenty of results alot of which give you step by step guides to resolving it.

Re: Problem detected windows shutdown to prevent damage Check the hard drive settings in your BIOS. Specifically if your drives are set to AHCI, change them to IDE and see if that fixes your problem.
