Re: Norton Ghost wont work in XP???

I have used Ghost on NTFS no problem - the only problem Ghost has is that is can only write to FAT32. It will backup and restore NTFS partions, but you need a FAT32/16 partion or drive to backup to. I still use my old reliable Jazz Drive - yes I know it is old, but don't laugh!! A writable DVD drive will also work.

I have Ghost 9 corporate edition and it can write to NTFS, as well as to USB/Firewire HDD and ODD. I use the customized bootable disc though.

@ Parato Optimal:

I've used Ghost 2003 successfully in Windows XP (SP1 and SP2 as well). I'll assume it's the same version that's included in SystemWorks 2003 Pro.

Ghost 2003 obviously operates in DOS (to do the heavy lifting), and I haven't had any issue with my NTFS (3 hdd's, 2 of which are parititioned ... all with NTFS).
