We've released the very fist tool to help DVDx developers and users.:

DVDx InfoTool provides DVD structure (VTS, PGC, menus etc.) and video/audio/subtitle format from a DVD-Video (protected or not).

The very first pre-release is DVDx InfoTool 0.9.1 and is a providing informations as ifo _dump.exe and title_info.exe from libdvdread.

The informations can be displayed in 2 views: complete dump or "text" which filters out less useful detailed.

We're already preparing the 1.0.0 release which will display a 3rd view ("standard") with data formatted for a usage in a DVD ripper like DVDx encoder.

DVDx InfoTool runs on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X (Intel binaries provided).

DVDx InfoTool is available (including all compiled binaries) from SourceForge as part of DVDx project:

Very first public pre-release
- VTS menu is disabled (VTS view not available yet)
- standard view disabled (view widgets not ready yet)
- recent file list display is screwed in Linux version
- crash with DVD Matrix NTSC (all platforms)
- error "can't open Ifo" occurs for many titles

Notes:
This pre-release uses libdvdread to get DVD informations
from IFO files (VOB files aren't parsed and can even be
absent from the VIDEO_TS folder). The libdvdread gives
DVD and titles informations but not VTS (Video Title Set)
data, the next version of DVDx InfoTool will compute VTS
and PGC data to provide the VTS details with longest PGC
which is more useful for DVD player or DVD ripper users.

To do:

- fix crash on Matrix NTSC (all platforms)
- add a progress bar for title info processing
- fix can't open Ifo which occurs for many titles
- fix recent files display in Linux version
- improve Mac OS X packaging
