Hey everyone, I'm wondering why my son's Disney Classics Bug's Life CDROM wont read after installation. It gives me the please insert CD like it can't see it because I'm running it on my CDRW. Ran into a similar problem before and was suggested that I copy disc to HD and install from there. Did this, but still get same error.

Is there a way that CDRW drives can play these games? They are 3 or 4 years old and from Walmart, but if there was a way for CDRW to see them maybe they could be played. I'd hate to have to install an old fashioned CDRom Drive just to be able to play these games.

make an image of it and use a virtual drive to run it see if that works

That's a great idea, I will try it. You know what did actually work? I put it in my DVDRW Drive - right above the CDRW and it actually installed and is playing perfectly.

well its probable that the game only searches for the 1st optical drive but doesnt go any further than the 1st one it finds.

if your dvd is master on your ide cable or the 1st optical sata drive it finds and your cdrw is 2nd/slave drive, then its logical it would not see the disc in the cdrw, if it doesnt go any further than 1st opticald rive that is. thats just bad programming ;-)

anyway, glad you got it working, you can also try to make an image and place the virtual drive's letter before your real optical drives, it might work also if you hide d-tools with YASU.
