Msn messenger whats up???

Right, the problem started last night when i couldnt log into msn messenger on my gmail account, i left it for 30mins, still couldnt get in "Signing into msn messenger failed because the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later".

So i decided i would try with my old hotmail account, i signed straight in........ i also tried another old account that isnt run by a major company, signed straight in... Tried signing in with my gmail again...... "Signing into msn messenger failed because the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later"

I couldnt log in till late last night, and it was working all good this morning, now this afternoon... same thing is happening.

Does msn have somethigna against gmail??? Can someone else get in atm on gmail. (17:21 GMT) MSN service status says its running systems all fine...

Any ideas whats going on, tried reinstalling msn, searching google, no luck.

Cheers,

Chris

Re: Msn messenger whats up???

I think its because microsoft is building the new msn, err Windows Live, or something like that and they also updated there servers, may sound dumb from me, but its the best thing i can think of

Re: Msn messenger whats up???

From what I've heard from several people, it seems to be when their servers get busy.
The general consensus is that at peak times only hotmail and msn accounts can access it , and everyone else has to wait until thinks go quiet again

Um .. the register has been known to report many things which are ... um ... not quite accurate.

It's practically a tabloid
