Which media player for avi.bt?

Hi,
I'm a newbie, so please excuse my ignorance: I have downloaded AVI.bt files but can't open them with any media player I try (Microsoft, Divx, VLC, Real player, etc). Is it necessary to burn the files on a CD in order to watch the films, or is there a player I don't know about that I can use?

Re: Which media player for avi.bt?

how large are they? .bt seems it may be some compressed or unfinished stuff, like from bittorrent or something. If so, you need to finish downloading them with the same software with which you started, and then they will change to .avi automatically.
You also may get a problem for posting twice the same topic. It's better if you would avoid that.

Re: Which media player for avi.bt?

gspot will tell you the codec that the files are encoded with, and that should let you know what you need to get in order to view them.
