| jteaman Where is the Pinnacle Studio forum? Am I in the wrong place? When I run Pinnacle Studio 9.4.3, I have to exit my AVG virus software, and use something called "enditall" to kill all aps that are not system required for Windows XP home. The software still runs kind of slow. Sometimes when I am editing video, it takes 3 or 4 seconds for the action to take place after I drag or anything. I have a 2.2 GHZ CPU, 768 MB of memory and 100GB of disk storage space to use for editing, capturing, etc. Windows XP home with all of the updates. I defragment my work drive often. Is there sometning I should be doing other than what I have said here? |

| Re: jteaman Your process is pretty minimum for video editing (but it will work). You definately need more memory. I would go with a bare minimum 1gb memory, and highly recommend 1.5 - 2gb, if you want to do much video work. Some folks go so far as to boot to safe mode when doing video, in order to ensure that no unnecessary processes are running. If you have one of the newer, more powerful systems, there is no need for that.
