Re: IE .reg file to STOP SPYWARE COOKIES Ok, here is a link to the HOSTS file. It needs to go in 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc'. This file is the one I downloaded here quite some time ago and I have added and removed a few things since (not many). It's a good start. Please make a backup of your original file first! Using this file can cause some strange results on some sites. Download HOSTS file This file does NOT have an extension. If you download it and it ends up with .TXT on the end, remove the .TXT. If you have problems with the link, send me a PM.

Re: IE .reg file to STOP SPYWARE COOKIES I see didn't know that but I used both in my hosts file...and then I added some myself there as well...I noticed that there are some rare few legit site that it does affect but I can live with that. As my browsing has been alot better since I have more control of my hosts file. Last edited by coolcolors; 02-03-2008 at 01:15. Reason: grammer

Re: IE .reg file to STOP SPYWARE COOKIES Doesn't seem that any of the links takes you to the reg. file . Not one that I have seen yet. I tend to agree with Chewy or daChew I like Spybot it is easier to update. So far I haven't found anything here to even start........lol ![]()
