Well, SecuROM and SafeDisc are commercial software protections, which means you'll have to buy them in order to use. There's a free copy protection called CCD Lock but it's mainly for audio.

No, they can't be download. You'll need to buy them. You can buy them at the Macrovision's website (for SafeDisc) and Sony DADC (for SecuROM).

Using the search of this forum will bring you many of the same discussions that were held in the past and the same links posted over and over again....

To prove it:

Please, next time put in a little more effort of your own....

Yet another opportunity to do some plugging!

http://tzcopyprotection.cjb.net

Of course, it is not as good as SafeDisc or SecuROM, but then again it is free and was designed on the back of a mingles packet (I don't smoke you see)

This list is for future reference for all those who want to make copy protected CDs:Source

Next time I won't be as friendly to lazy people who don't use the search, since there is now a nice list.

Confused

What exactly do you want? Since you said it has personal data, do you actually want something which will make it difficult for people other then you to read the CD? If so, there are several programs available. But I believe all the programs listed are mainly to prevent people from copying your CDs. Obviously, any method should encrypt the content with a secure algorythm at the very least...

Look at cdmediaworld.com CD tools, I believe it lists some although.

Not totally true. They don't update most of the site related to CD Media. They do update their software every so often. Not sure how much they actively seek out new software or look for new versions of products with may have moved websites but it's usually ok for me. Or it at least gives me the name of the product to look for. I never download anything from them of course. Always visit the website link or if there is none, do a further search. I have found it to be more useful then anything else I have come across although I don't really need much so I don't look that much

Should add that I nearly always visit the website, whether with Tucows, this site or whatever site when getting software to check out the latest version. Which is why I hate it when some stupid sites either don't list the website or make it very hard to find.
