Help with creating windows xp sp3 fresh install disk

I have a full windows xp install disk with sp2. Can anyone help me or is there any way to somehow create or to freshly install windows xp with service pack 3 all at the same time? I don't want to upgrade to sp3 I want to fresh install both together so please don't recommend to just click on the sp3 icon because I don't want to go that route. I did this on a friends computer and it created problems. Can this be done???

They call that slipstream where you use something like nlite os to slipstream sp3 onto xp sp2 cd thus creating a xp sp3 cd. But that is only if M$$ will release sp3 to the public to download only then will you be able to merge sp3 to xp sp2 making it xp sp3 cd.

It's still beta. See http://club.cdfreaks.com/f3/sp3-windows-xp-244044/ for more details. Go to http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search for links to free download and info on using nLite which makes slipstreaming very easy.

Wow!!! nLite makes it very easy I wish I could try it now. I just read the manual and nLite does everything for you except do the burn, even makes it bootable.
Does anyone know when the full version of Sp3 is coming out???

According to http://forums.g4tv.com/thread.jspa?t...2325&tstart=25 WinXP SP3 has the same RMS bug that Vista SP1 does, and it won't be patched until June via Windows Update.

I think they are just stalling so people will have to switch to Vista and also if I read right it only affects the business software of which end users have no need for?? Sounds more fishy by the minute to me....only thing I know I had problem was with Device manager not working and volume properties in taskbar saying I had to have admin rights to use but I am logged in as Admin??? What gives? But I go to major geek and download that SP3 and install it and see what happens to device manager and volume taskbar.

Re: Help with creating windows xp sp3 fresh install disk

The best way to apply sp3 is a clean install, next best is a repair disk from booting to a slipstream disk

it's not something you want to apply to a corrupted or damaged OS
