General Software Discuss, DVDShrink bug or not? at International Chat: Software related forum; Recently I got "Failed to read file L:\" and "Data error (Cyclic redundancy check)" errors while attempting to backup 2 different DVDs using DVDShrink , but DVDShrink completed with no errors if run on files created by DVDFabDecrypter first. Is this a DVDShrink bug or simply something

DVDShrink bug or not?

Recently I got "Failed to read file L:\" and "Data error (Cyclic redundancy check)" errors while attempting to backup 2 different DVDs using DVDShrink, but DVDShrink completed with no errors if run on files created by DVDFabDecrypter first. Is this a DVDShrink bug or simply something to do with its inability to run on some newer DVDs?

Re: DVDShrink bug or not?

It's called copy protection. Shrink chokes on "bad sector" type protections.
