Ok, I have a memorex 16x DL DVD burner and have had intermittent success with this drive. I finally settled on some better media, (verbatim) and have had weeks of flawless burns. then in the last few weeks I have started having major problems with DVD burning. When they burn either with NERo, DVD decrypter, or DVD Santa it always passes a test burn then apparently burns the entire disc but when it clicks out it has burned less than an inch of the DVD. I have a dual core AMD which was also updated from a single core during this time. I also went to the newest NVIDIA Nforce4 drivers because they were recommended for performance. I have since reverted back to the previous drivers with no improvement. I moved toIMGburn in hopes it was a nero/nvidia conflict. I have DMA enabled.

does this help anyone. Is my drive dying. Why all the sudden and what do I make of the partial burn being read as a full burn? It happens in nero and DVD clone makes good images but NEVER burns well?
