| cd/emulation software has been detected Hi all, Trying to get my battlefield 2 going, and getting a new error message. Its detecting emulation software and says to disable it and restart. So i've eliminated all software that i can think of that could be causing this problem. i looked on the internet and saw that someone was having a similar problem and was able to fix it by uninstalling clonecd . problem is, i have clone cd on my program files. seems it was uninstalled incorrectly, and still shows up in the list, but has no info (Mb associated) and when i press uninstall it gives and error message "unable to locate the installation log file" Im assuming by reading other forums that i need to get into my registry editor and somehow fix this, but i have no idea how, and have never messed with registry stuff. Im open to any suggestion..... i just got fast new internet and am totally bummed i cant be mercing ppl right now any help would be much appreciated |

| Re: cd/emulation software has been detected Honestly, it would be way easier to use the original disc then. ![]()

| Re: cd/emulation software has been detected When dabbling with the registry, first of all make a backup copy of it, to be able to restore in case something goes wrong (open Run/Regedit, then go File/Export and save. Then go Edit/Find, write clonecd, and delete the first entry found. Then press F5 to continue the search and delete all entries successively. Hopefully, you'll solve the problem. |
