Burning Linux

I have an ISO image (.iso) of UBUNTU from a mag supplied cd.

I have Nero 6.

I have burnt the file to a cd but when I put it into a dell computer to boot and install the startup ignores it.

Perhaps I have not done this right. Do I just burn the ubuntu iso file to the cd and boot from it?

Re: Burning Linux

Yes you need to burn the Ubuntu iso as a iso and not as a file, also your Dell needs to be setup if not already set up so it boots from your CD/DVD drive first at startup.

Re: Burning Linux

Yes thanks, I had to burn as an image and this booted OK. UBUNTU now installed. Away we go!
