Click "View" in the toolbar. Enhancments,Show Enhancments, Play Speed Setting. The Next and Back buttons in the Speed Setings will do this. Sometimes the Back button doesn't work on DVDs but does on AVi clips.

Re: Any way to get Windows Media Player to advance/reverse frame by frame?

Thanks, man. I'll give it a try.

Edit: I was able to get it to advance that way, but going back seems not to be working.

Still, if I set the focus on the "step forward" icon, I can press or hold down the enter key and advance manually a step at a time. I prefer to do that with the keyboard. That works ok for now.

Thanks again.

Power DVD works really well for forward and reverse frame by frame. Works well at frame capture too! All you need is one of the versions that come with most drives you buy.

I have WinDVD legally installed, and both my Lite-On drives came with legal versions of PowerDVD, but when playing television episodes in Xvid or Divx format, WMP just seems to work better / faster for me.
