Re: Add copyright tags to one image

You can do this in Nero by filling out the fields of Publisher and others as well, and the resulting copy can show these but only be seen with the Nero InfoTool. So its a very nice tactic to hide info and nobody will expect it either. Just make sure you dont use Nero in simple mode.

There was anither thread with this some time ago, try the search.

Watermark...

File attributes can easily be removed as far as I know, so the only sure thing to to somehow include it in the picture. Don't know how this watermark exactly works, but I have seen it many times being mentioned in this context.

Re: Add copyright tags to one image

To publish on the net. Depends what you want to achieve by tagging.

The main problem is anything you see on a monitor can be copied and, how will you know if someone uses your image?

First: You want to reduce the chances of others from using your images for commercial gain...just keep the image reasonably small & use low resolution.

Second: If you discover an image being used, you are "protected" in most countries if you can prove you are the author or owner. What you can do about it is another question...usually involving lawyers and money!

Tags are a minor issue - maybe no-one sees them and they can be removed - as already mentioned in this thread.

However, a watermark that can be seen is a useful deterrent cos someone will have to go to a bit of trouble to remove them with Photoshop. Something like © Joe Bloggs (best in a critical part of the image) will do quite nicely, although some purists will argue that it destroys the aesthetics.
