Re: Test: Inline attachments

An upgrade to 3.5 will be done, but not in the near time. Since an upgrade takes an enormous amount of time (due to the size of our forum) and we use several modifications which all need to be available for 3.5 as well. Sorry for the incovenience, we are very aware of the new exciting features of 3.5!

I can no longer attach any image at the moment. I was able to an hour ago when I started this thread. Could you see if you have Manage Attachments button when you start a new thread in this forum? Cheers!

You cannot edit a post to add an attachment after 30 mins (or edit it in any other way actually).

Thanks, Chriso. But I am aware of that.

When you made that reply did you see the Manage Attachments button?

I don't see it while replying to you right now.

I don't see it when I click on newthread button of this forum.

I saw it last night when I first creat this thread.

I see it now when I reply to posts in other forums.

I see it now when I click on newthread in other forums.

Can you show me that you can attach an attachment here in this thread or other thread in this forum?

Thanks for confirming. That's why I asked DoMiN8ToR if he (or anyone) changed the config last night.

Wouldn't make any sense for such any change to be made.

I can manage attachments too, but it's unavailable for "normal" users. It can be changed, but I wonder if we really need attachments here.

Re: Test: Inline attachments

Ah, so attachments are simply disabled in this forum. Suppose that makes sense. Maybe you could have a testing forum where posts don't count to your post count. That would be good for new sigs or messing with attachments. Also, you could empty the area every few days to prevent abuse (i.e. image hosting).

Re: Test: Inline attachments

Still not a final version. Since there are many custom changes in this board, it doesn't really make sense to start with such a release. Every forum update requires a lot of manual work.
