i found that if i set my country in regional settings to any country other than japan or usa those locked up featers are unlocked

Yes, you can move your home country or much more easily you can use a patch that is kicking around that simply fixes this so you can use Clone CD 4.0 and up without having your country changed. Changing countries has some deficits, especially in the times zpone area but there other problems this can create as well. Nothing drastic but just some pain in the neck kind of things, at least for me. The patch is just so simple.

Installed patch to enable aws in CD4, but how does one turn it off? How does one turn on hide CD-r, tried rt cliking icon on taskbar, doesn't show up! Disabled starting CD4 in MSconfig-is that problem?

When it's time to write the image, simply use a Profile that has weak sectors set to ignore or edit the Profile and set it to ignore. The Hide CDR Media option is available via the CloneCD-tray when you click on it:

Newbie here. Be gentile. I can't get this patch to work at all. Nowhere can I find a tab for the write settings. using a Samsung CDRW/DVD. Thanks for any help guys.

Well I tried changing my regional settings too to everywhere but the US and the AWS option still does not appear. I uninstalled the re-installed the program too. Nada. I'm bummed out here cause I see that everyone has succeeded.
