Clone CD Discuss, Starforce CD Protection at Burning Software forum; I know that this protection cannot be copied as of yet. Has anybody found out how this protection works, or is everybody as stumped as they were in the past?

Comparing angles between different sectors on the disc.

It could be defeated in theory, but tools to do so have not even been started. One would have to change the relation of sectors' angles to each other, by adding dummy sectors.

I'm afraid it will not work because a simple check of the cd size or sector number will detect it .

How does that solve it?

CD Size can be changed from the TOC, and sector number wont be sufficient for determining a copy, since a dummy sector obviously wouldn't contain the appropraite tracking info, making a search for it both impossible and futile.
