from existing files on a hard drive. I like the simplicity and speed of the Clone CD burn process - so is there some easy front-ware to build the image files if I don't have a cd to copy?

Well, for example UltraISO can do that (and a LOT more)...

But, honestly, I don't see why you would do that... IMO the "create data CD" of any decent burning software is really straightforward.

it's a long story but I burn cd's on an old pioneer 105 dvd in an old usb 2 external case attached to an old laptop thru a usb2 pcmcia card. nero 4,5,6 have never been reliable but even old clone ver 3 burned every time - so ... why fight it.

I have a CD that was partially damaged, i created an image and got my friend to send me a good copy of the damaged files, will UltraISO allow me to replace the files in the image with the good copies and then burn a working CD with Clone CD?
