| SimCity 4 Hey everybody, I just got SimCity 4 (BTW. great game) and I want to backup the original cd. I have a HP 9300+ so an 1:1 copy isn't possible. Before I waste some CDR's, does anyone know it's possible to backup it succesfully? SimCity 4 is protected with Safedisk 2.8. Thnx Grtz m-pox

| I purchased simcity 4, before i did i know it had safedisc 2.8 and i thought this would be a problem, so what i did to get a workable copy is create an image of both disc's using clonecd 4.2.0.1, i used clonyxxl 1.0.0.6 to create a profile in clonecd but it came up safedisc V2 so i imaged the CD's with it anyway, i then mounted the image into the virtual drive and installed from there, when it prompted to insert disc 2 i just unmounted the image for CD 1 and mounted CD 2 while installation is stalled, once installed i mounted CD 1 back into the virtual drive and it works a jem, i have a LG GCE-8160B recorder, i have read all over the internet about people havin problems with safedisc V2.8, but it must not be a problem for the LG, Go on the LG |
