i had this game burnt (GTA Vice City) and on cd1 it has securom 4.84.69.0071 and the play cd it had ring protech (visible circles on the surface of the cd)

its not really complicated to copy all you have to do is use blindwrite to make a bwa file of the 1st cd (install disc) then using that bwa file u patch it onto the play cd (cd2)

for the install disk you can simply burn it using easy cd creator, but for the play cd use clone cd which is recommended

clone cd v4.0.0.1
blindwrite 4.5.3

so if u have any games with 2cds in this combination try using these steps to see if the game will run
this is the first time i tried this procedure, i hope it works for all games

BE SURE NOT TO HAVE ANY EMULATION SOFTWARE INSTALLED!!!!!!!! (if you have 2 computers make sure the other one has no emulation software installed, for testing purposes)

Are you SURE that CD1 has SecuRom 4.84 and CD2 has Ring Protech? My version (UK) only has Securom*new* on the play cd. What country is the game from?

The GTA Vice City has already been covered many times and the conclusion was:

For the UK version -

Disc 1 (play) has securom 4.84

Disc 2 (install) has securom 4.84


As securom protection is only there to prevent the game from being played it seemed very overkill for rockstar to add it on both discs. The easiest way to copy them is to use ANY copying program ( i used clonecd for ease and speed) to copy the install disc as it doesn't matter that it's got securom on it and to use your preferred method of copying securom for the play disc. I personally used BW and my plex premium as this is the Nearest you can get to a perfect copy that will play on almost all cd-roms (cannot test it on every single one invented, so had to say almost. but it does work on over 15 i've tried) and with hide cd-r media on any writer.

This is the preferred method because people were having trouble installing the game if the install disc was copied the securom way, but if you just read it as any other cd it would install fine.
