I've tried the settings of guardian with my plex 24 firm 1.03 and #TLA0000, under win2000 with clonecd 3.3.1 (not the last version)
and it works only in my writer with hide cdr, not in my pioneer dvd (it makes an error in mohaa.exe)

Has Aspi any importance ? Is Blindwrite better ?

Excellent ASPI links: (you got Win2K so click & read them!)BlindWrite (suite) does what it's advertised to do. I use it but the "Patchin'-Coffin engine" doesn't suit all systems.

You have Win2K so make sure you have all the right SPs, cables, blah, blah...OK? Read the links I gave you - PLZ, or it won't work. Other software aint gonna save you if you don't follow this advice!

btw - pls vote here

Well, I've read all the posts and decided to give it one last shot in order to make a perfect backup of CC Renegade. I followed the instructions to the letter and hey presto no luck!

I guess that what was said earlier about some Plex's being able to defeat SD2.51 and other not able is true. So what can be that different from these seemingly same products?

I bought my Plex because my old Ricoh was not up to the job of defeating the newer versions of CP's only to find a couple of months down the line it's now redundant too! This is very frustrating. I know the Lite-on's do it but I'll be damned if I have to go and fork out £70 for a new burner. What happens when the new CP comes along, another upgrade?

Does anyone know if there is any active work being done to get the Plex to generate perfect copies?

Cheers,

Thanks Gents/Ladies

Thanks to all your efforts in enabling me to create a back up of MOHAA.

BTW it also works with a 1210A Plexy (The one I used)

Thanks again

Cheers

Have you read the Settings? If it doesn't work second time (maybe third if you didn't read/understand properly), then yes, you're part of the majority that can't cut 2.51.021

guardian BS1 is a actual person who has solved some "burning" questions.....he/she is not a program....just helped by giving settings to use to burn SD2.51.021 with the plex 24x

damnit i have to buy a plex or a lite-on to burn safedisc 2.51
i have a mitsumi 4809 TE it's really f*cked up he doesn't support emf encoding.

So my advice is don't buy a mitsumi.

Renegade...SS:SE...MOHAA - plex 24?

Foxhound - Are you using your backup with HideCDR media on or stand alone? I tried backing MOHAA with my Plex 12x and it did not work. What TLA do you have?

Safedisc v.2.51 research

I'm doing research on safedisc v2.51 for 2 weeks now
and all you are saying is bullshit
Cause Safedisc sets priority to the hardware
so you all with a supported writer can copy the game
but when you try de cd in another computer the game won't start
so don't be happy cause it's for personal use only!
