Safedisc burning problem I have a liteon 16102b burner and am yet to burn mohaa or gta3 to cd. I tried the game profile, both sd profiles provided here and tried even playing them from my olld cdrom driver and I can access it but when trying to install it it stops at 1%. I would love some help on this. THX

| have you tried to burn the cd's with "aws" off this drive can do correct efm encoding of regular bit patterns so if you enable amplify weak sectors you will stuff up the burn.

correct me if i'm wrong I believe that the 16 speed witer is the only lite-on that is not able to do something with correct efm bit patterns, 12write and 40 speed read and the 24 write do the job perfectly but the 16 speed doesn't

The fartman's right. The 16x 2b model is a 2 sheep burner and should have no problems backing up MOHAA and GTA III but you should ensure that AWS is off. Very few 2 sheep burners will make working copies of safedisc 2 cds if AWS is enabled (even though mine happens to be one of them I still don't use AWS as it's unnecessary). You can use the default profile so long as you've disabled AWS permanently from the writer settings page (and you should do this anyway). If not, then use the safedisc 2 no AWS profile available from the profiles sticky.

The LTR-16101B uses the sanyo chipset and and can't copy SD2, while the LTR-16102B and LTR-16102C use the mediatek chipset and are regular SD2 killers.

Well looks like ive killed sd2 finally. I knew my burner was a sd2 killer but I didnt turn off aws which was a problem and I was using bad media. I threw in my buddies fuji film cdr's and all went well. Now I need to go buy some of those cdr's and some extra of what I already have because the fujifilm cdr's dont work well when I backup my psx games. Thx a bunch guys
