safedisc 2.51 AD-7173A - Club CDFreaks

Hello,
I"m trying to burn a disc with safedisc 2.51 protection with clonecd. I tried the profiles with aws and without aws. I also tried alcohol using the alcohole profiles (safedisc aws and without aws) but the cd's that I burn with my optiarc AD-7173A just won't work. I have the standard firmware on it.
Can somebody help me please ?

The ability to successfully copy safedisc 2.51 protected cds depends on your hardware. In all probability, yours isn't up to the task. However, if you use CloneCD with "emulate weak sectors" the copy should work so long as you have CloneCD on your system and hide cdr media is activated.

and with my plextor PX-W4824TA ?
(I don't want to waste anymore CD's, that's why I don't try it)

The plex is more likely to be capable. Try first without AWS and if that doesn't work then try with AWS. [Hint: If you're worried about coasters, try first with a cdrw rather than a cdr.]
