my chipped play station 2 does no longer detect 2nd player for some reason like the dual shock pad light does turn on and all but it doesnt work for most games it works for few games but its very few too now i been trying to fix this problem but i do not know and i was googling and found this website it looks like there are so many experts here and i wanted to ask for some help to solve my situation.... or is there anyone that knows how to fix this problem??

to simplify my situation

1. i have old the big modded playstation 2 from asia model #30001? or something like that.......
2. game pads are perfectly fine it works everytime i plug em in to 1p slot but it wont work or not to be recognized when it is in 2p slot though the dual shock light turns on and it works for very few games ( maybe about 2 games that i have ? )
3. majority of games i play are japanese games and i burned those out

umm i think thats bout it

in the worst case im kinda considering on buying used ps2 slim or something and would like to learn how to play burned games on that
so if that is my last resort i would like to know approximately how much will i be paying and where the best place to get all the items i need
it sucks not being able to play all the games i have with my friends and my
girlfriend so that i have to stick around with single play games...
