Problems with clonecd

Hi!
I am using clonecd to make backups of my original PSX games.
Crash Bandicoot worked just fine, but when I try to backup Resident Evil 2 using clony+CCD, there are problems during the reading process. CCD tells me that it "failed to read sector 12,13,14,15" and then it moves on until it reaches about sector 68000, then there is the same problem for so many sectors that I just quit the reading process. Any ideas? What is going on?

I think the copy of resident evil 2 you got is scratched. I have the pal original and it doesn't give any read errors with CloneCD.
