I tried using the following settings to fail to copy MOHAA (SD2.51) with a Plextor 24x USB2 and play it in a Toshiba 1502 DVD:

Read Speed Data: MAX
X Regenerate Data Sectores

Read Speed Audio: MAX
Audio Extraction Quality: Best
X Read SubChannel Data from Audio Tracks

Fast Error Skip Settings: ON

Write Speed: MAX
X Amplify weak sectors
X Always Close last Session:

Any other things I could try as I got the following: performed an illegal operation error.... MOHAA caused an invalid page fault in module ~DF394B.tmp at 0197:021a86b8?

I've got a Plextor 401240A and have the same problem. The backup of MOHAA will only run in my Plextor drive and not my CDROM/DVDROM drive (or my CDROM drive on my other computer). A simple workaround I've found is to just use the "fastdump" feature of the freeware program DAEMON Tools and burn that as my backup. That backup does work in my CDROM/DVDROM drive as well as my CDROM drive. It'd be great if CloneCD could incorporate something similar into its CloneCD tray (like it does with the 'hide CDR media' feature).

If your PC was made during or after 1998, it almost certainly supports USB. NT 3.5 and 4.0 (including SP4) do not support USB but Win2K does provide USB support. XP is, of course, OK with USB.

However, many people have become quite frustrated with USB devices that are only supported under one class of host controller or with motherboards which, while having the chip needed for USB, didn't come with any USB ports to connect USB devices.

USB 1.1 is native to Windows and uses a standard PCI bus card employing the Open Host Controller Interface (OHCI). With this standard you get to enjoy 12 Mb/s or about 1.5 MB/s. With burner speeds well established at 24x and higher this transfer rate is unacceptable and so high speed USB 2.0 products have a design data rate of 480 Mb/s.

USB 2.0 drivers are now available for WinXP through Windows Update, however, support for Win2K is still under development. Microsoft will not provide USB 2.0 support for the Win9x platform or NT. Fortunately, USB 2.0 is expected to be integrated into Intel chipsets by mid-year. USB 1.1 will limit a burner to 4X write, 4X rewrite and 6X read speeds.
Anything there apply to you? USB 1.1 sucks!
