PCRW804K cant backup Serious Sam-SE - Club CDFreaks

I have tried to backup Serious Sam-SE with no luck. Tried CloneCD v.3.3.4.1, with firmware 2.1 and 2.5 and different settings (with/without AWS, with/without laser calibration and 4x/8x speed). The results were only coaster. Any luck with the PCRW804K and SS-SE outthere ?

The Philips writers are defeated for the moment. Check this thread for a list of writers that do work and the settings you should use.

That's the burner I have. From what I have tested, I doubt if it works with SD 2.51.021 protection at all. It did work with the older SD2 protection, like Max Payne, without any problem. Maybe the burner should be remove from the list of successfull burners ?

As i described abow, I did try different settings from the info's that has been posted. Suggestion for correct setting anyone ?

Well from what I understand (I haven't got a SD 2.51 game unfortunately) the reading is important when reading this new protection. Read at 4x. Write at max. Enable AWS for a non-compatible writer and do not select it for a capable SD2 writer. In your case don't select it. There's no need to check the Subs or anything. Did you read this thread like I said?
