@Olli a few questions about NEW Copy Protections on GERMAN Games!

1st Question:
Port Royale. What for protection is it? And will it be copyble in the near future? (IT SEEMS THIS IS A NEW VERSION OF PROTECT CD COPY PROTECTION)

2nd Question:
Hotel Gigant. Is this a NEW "SECUROM NEW" protection or is it an other protection? And will it be also copyble in the near future?

3rd and last Question:
Few months ago u write in CLONECLINIC FORUM about a SUPERCOOL ENGINE for CloneCD. And you wrote, that u don´t know if it will be 100% working. Wie weit bist Du damit? Kommt sie jetz oder nicht? (SORRY! BUT I din´t find english words for that)

OK thats it I hope to hear something from u

a) push ...
So, after trying to copy PR by myself (form Original with LiteOn 32123S and Toshiba 1502 DVD in all possible kombinations on settings with CloneCD 4.0.1.6 I'm quite sure ... It has some new CopyProtection ... ClonyXXL does not find ...

So I start to read 3 or for CDR/Copying Forums ... and collected all infos I got and came to same conclusion and question like 'Gabberhead' ...

b) So ... maybe one of big CopyProtection Gururs can give us some aboutr these new CPs?

Personal I believe there is in the moment no reliable 1:1 copy program for Port Roayle Copy protection (good job form cp programmers).
If people have made a working 1:1 copy it may be 'good luck',
where people with original CD sometimes seems to have 'bad luck' - game is even with original CD not startable :-(

greetings,
NixDa

How far along are you? Will it ever come, yes or no? ( I couldn't find english words that gave an exact translation either, so I just paraphrased).

1.) Don't know yet.
2.) Don't know yet.
3.) I wasn't talking about a "supercool engine for CloneCD", I was talking about a "supercool engine".
Anyway, this beast is still in the works, and it hasn't copied a single bit yet. It'll take some time...

Is it actually in coding, in pseudo-code, or is it just an idea that the guys at Elby have been tossing around?

What does it do that is different?

It is still an idea, parts of it are in coding to find out, if these ideas can be realised at all.

How would it be different than the current engine?

I hate this. It's difficult to make a working copy of a cd with a copy protection that relies on physical properties.
