| New Audio Protections?!? first off...i did do a search and i couldnt find exactly what im looking for, so i ask! =) is there any way to protect my AUDIO CD from burning??? i kno there is...but heres the catch...one that will allow the buyer to play in a mp3 car headunit...i used ccd lock and it locked my cd....but it will not play in my car stereo cuz it is mp3 compatible...is there any programs to use that will allow my protected audio cds to play in more players ( mp3 cd players) THANKS ALOT!!! ![]() OH YA!!! im not looking to protect from really smart cd guys (like most people on here) just anything to stop a everyday basic cd burner from burning...even if its something simple to hack, i dont care!!! thanks |

| The common ways copy protection work is by making them very difficult to read; if not impossible in CD drives that support multisession discs and/or data discs. This is also the main difference between a PC CD-ROM drive and a typical stand-alone Audio CD player. Pretty much all PC CD-ROM drives (except very early models) support multisession discs and of couse all of them support data discs to. As your Car stereo supports MP3, it must support data discs and most CD MP3 players including mines (except the early models too) support multisession CDs. This means that if the CD cannot play in the PC, it will just as likely fail in the CD MP3 player as the CD MP3 player has essentially a CD-ROM drive built in. |

| There is a few utilities. Some are harder to copy than the commercial Key2Audio or Cactus Data Shield. Take a look at a few here or try CD Media World for a few more utilities. I think the trouble may be compatibility. More and more drives are reading copy protected audio CD's. Plextor used to be among the few but the list of them is growing. |
