mp3 to dvds with clonecd/dvd

Happy Holidays all, I am new to the forum, wifey got my slysofy software to burn movies and I was wondering if there is a way to take my mp3 i have on about 50 cd-r and place them on to dvd's I think when i go to copy them onto other computers it would be easier then doing 50 disks all day. I have single and dual layers dvds.

I need to do this because wife is getting pissed because of all the cd's lating around, two she has to search through all the disks to find what she wants and three the biggest problem: When i try to copy all my files from the disk to the puter it freezes up after a couple of songs like it can't handle it. it's a 2.4g proccessor 1g ram winxp pro 300 gig hard drive with 200gig free

What i have been trying to do is have all the files from my cd-r's write to one temp file then burn them all at once to the dvd, my problem i have been having is when i get my second cd in, it wants to write over the first file. using clone-cd I have clone-cd clone dvd any dvd and vitual clone drive (what ever that is for?)

Also I have aopen combo drive 5232/aah that wont read dvd's when it is supposed to and a lite-on dvdrw sohw 1693s that will not read cd-s I am sure someone can help me correct it. I am computer literate (somewhat) I did update the firmware on it and drivers on both but still same problems.

If more info is needed let me know I will get it. just tell me what you need.

Thanks all and happy holidays
Scott

Welcome divermedic,

I'm not quite sure if I got you right so correct if I'm wrong. You want to rip your audio cds to mp3 files and then copy them tom several dvds?

No I have about 8 gig or so of mp3's on cd-r's I am trying to copy them onto dvd's so I only have to keep up with two disks instead of 50. also it will be easier to copy to a computer if i need to. I will be able to copy from two dvd's instead of 50 cd-r's

Ok. You'll need a program like Nero, DiscJuggler (not free) or CDBurnerXP Pro http://www.cdburnerxp.se/ (freeware) to burn your mp3's as data files to a DVD.
