Wirte speed 4x ( but actually 8x, the recorder's minimum speed is 8x?)

Tested on Sony 16x DVD. I will test it on more CDROM drives.

Is that the LG GCE-8240B as mentioned in this thread ? If so, we already knew it was a SD2 killer

but i found the disc does not work on every CDROM drives!
It work on my panisonic 8x but not work on Acer 48x!

Correct! The GCE 24x is another hit and miss SD2 burner. It works well with AWS (some work without it - but very few); some readers are picky and will not run the game (it will fail the guard module protection check)

here's somethign helpful:

morrowind uses safedisc 2.6

which basically means that the lg8240b can defeat safedisc 2.6

differences between 2.51 and 2.6:

wrapper seems to run all the time now isntead of just on game launch, maybee to thrawt crackers that use old methods to crack it and then eventually it fails?

also betablocker 1.01 no longer works

it seems that more burners can burn this version of sd2 instead of 2.51, maybee a side effect to being anti-betablocker

i know the plextor 24x10x40 that i use with firmware 1.00 seems to copy both morrowind and project earth, which both use sd2.6

do not change any settings. just use the default game profile.
