Hi :-). I know that a LOT of people have asked this question before, but I've wasted many hours looking through forums, as well as a bunch of CDRs, trying to burn this darn game. Anyway. I've tried to burn the Sims (SafeDisc1 protection). I have a Traxdata CDRW4260 Pro (which is compatible with CloneCD), and I have checked:
-Fast Error Skip
-Amplify Weak Sectors
-Always close last session
Burning in RAW-SAO

CloneCD starts out fine...

From 808 to 10098 is the protection, but I don't know why it's erroring in those other places! Help! :mad:

You don't need to enable AWS for Safedisc 1 protected CDs. Have you read this post? http://forum.cdfreaks.com/showthread...threadid=41896

To copy the safedisk v1 all you should have to check it the read sub options.

First u dont need to enable AWS and second and i cant say this enough,use either daemon tools(to check the image) or a cd-rw disk first to save yourself wasting cd-r.

But if u want too waste cd-r's and your money its your call.

Error based copy protection has to be written using RAW mode -because only this method turns off the error correction in the writer.

RAW-SAO uses the audio trick of streaming the entire sector BUT it is not successful in all cases.

SD1 does not need AWS (nor does SafeDisc 1 & 2 need subs).

Back to your problem. Just read with Fast Error Skip at the default settings. If you still get these error sectors well over 10K then the retries are too high, there are scratches on the disc or smudges. Worst case, the reader does not fully support FES.
