| I think he's asking what protection was used? The Sims used the simple SafeDisc. Errors are on the first 5% of the disc (sector 500~10.500). The time to read the disc depends on the speed of your writer or rather its ability to skip errors. It can vary from a few minutes up to a couple of hours.

| What writer is it...if it is a liteon 32x I would say based on my 24x liteon it will take about 4-5 min to read a safedisc title and about 3 min 30 sec to write on a 32x..those are ballpark figures.... now when you read with clonecd you may get a crazy read time of hours but once you get passed the errors on the disc (ie after sector 10,000) it will fly..some readers will read errors faster than others... hope this helps |
