I'm a newbie to CloneCD. How do I determine which copy protection method is being used on discs that I want to copy?

Hi Dunce,

A good (free) program to use is ClonyXXL. This will tell you if the disks are protected with Safedisk, Securom, etc.

Unfortunately, their homepage links I had are no longer working.

You can do a search on Google, or perhaps another kind person will give you the latest version d/l link.

Look for at least version 2.0.1.5 or later.

also blindwrite is about one of the best programs out there. .I use it all the time to backup my games

he has downloads for protection scanners ...bwa and list of some protections ....
