GTA3 Disc1...why does it read like THAT? - Club CDFreaks

I did alot of searches & reading for well over an hour but no info on this matter (none that I found anyways). Both Disc 1 & 2 has Safedisc 2.51.021...as we all know. Now here is the weird thing. Disc 2 reads the "normal" way with errors up to 10,000+ but on Disc 1, where the heck are the read errors?????

I have a Liteon 32123s that just rips right through the read on Disc 1. Used the same settings as I have for many other safedisc 2 games & even Disc 2 of GTA3. Disc 1 acts totally different, what gives?
I just tick FES, set to hardware, NO to regen & AWS as I do not need it & I even granny the read & burn down to 8X just to play it safe. I am using CCD 4.01.10

Burned & played without a hitch. Now I do not have to worry about my 14 year old son getting his paws on my original. Swear to GOD he has a belt sander hidden around here somewhere!!!

Disc 1 is not actually protected with Safedisc 2.51. It only contains the encrypted EXE file which is safedisc 2.51. Therefore, Disc 1 is easy to copy and you should not have any problems. However, Disc 2 is the protected CD, its the only disc that does a CD Check.
