FF7 Back-up - Club CDFreaks

I didn't take much care of my FF7 cd's after i beat the game and the install disc is all scratched up. can anyone who has this game for the pc please burn me a copy of the install cd? i'm not trying to get illigal games because i need the other 3 cd's to play anyways. my install cd's just too scratched and my dvd drive can't seem to read some files.

Try buffing the scratches out. I personally use a soft cloth and a very very mild abrasive (Silver or Brass polish).

If you are not game to try that. Rip an image with CloneCD and try to repair the image with CDMage

thx, i'll try this, although ill have to go through another 2-3 hours of ripping...... if this doesn't work, i'll post again and can someone send me the install cd?

Solution #1:
Get in touch with the software develloper, explain the situation and you might get a replacement (reduced cost).

Solution#2:
Use CCD to make an image of your scratched cd, reading at slow speed and with Regenerate Data Sectors on.. There's a big chance the back up might work.

I can understand your problem as i have been in there a few times. Asking for someone though to sent you the CD aint legal nomatter how you see it. And since it aint legal it wont be allowed to happen in this forum.

alright then, forget the sending me the backup idea. i tried using clony profiler's scratched cd profile and when i tried to install FF7, it said it was unable to read something. i'll try getting an image with scratched cd profile then using cdmage on it.
