If you burn a image using speeds faster then the reader, can your reader read it?
For example,
If you burn a disc at 40x
and your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM is 24x
Will the DVD/CD drive able to read the disc?

If you have a writer which supports a buffer underrun technique it is possible to writer at a high speed even though your source reader is slower. The writer will then just stop writing every time it runs out of data. This of course will take longer to complete and you could just as well have used a slower write speed. If you have a 24x max reader I suggest you don't go above 16x recording. It won't do much good (recording time wise) if you write faster. Some people and manufacturers will also state that although buffer underruns cannot hurt the copy if you use a buffer underrun technique, it's better to prevent them nonetheless.
