Clonedvd2 Stuck At 0%

Hi. I have a SONY DVD/RW and i'm using it externally using a usb contraption.

I tried burning a dvd using my usb 1.1 slot and it got stuck at 0% and was like it for hours untill i canceled it.

i then tried it on a usb 2.0 slot on a friends computer and all went swimmingly. it was the same software and same dvd.

i then purchase a usb 2.0 card for my computer and tried burning the dvd again, although again i got stuck at 0%! im using clonedvd. any help would be great thanks
