Re: CloneDVD VS CloneDVD2

The Elby and Slysoft versions are CloneDVD2 and are the same. Slysoft has a marketing agreement with Elby. I don't know the other CloneDVD nor do I know anyone that has tried it. I've seen the website when I went there by accident, It seems odd that another company uses the CloneDVD name.

One of them is the original program, the other is a parasite that tries to make money from others hard work.

If you want the real thing go to slysoft.com or elby.ch and purchase the program of CloneDVD2 there for 39.00 U.S.. Elaborate Bytes a bit more expensive at 39.00 Euro. Want a combo package, get latest versions of AnyDVD and ClonedDVD2 for 59.00. You will need AnyDVD to remove the copy protection for CloneDVD2.

If you want the inferior parasite version you can spend your 100.00 and get CloneDVD at Clonedvd.net. Copy protection removal is done within.
I just don't understand why Elaborate Bytes and Slysoft permit this name infringement.

You can spend 59.00 and get outstanding software that keeps up with the ever changing copy protection in terms of days, not weeks or months.
Or you can buy the software for 100.00 that has less capabilities and draws revenue by deception. The choice is yours, my vote goes for Slysoft and Elaborate Bytes.

Re: CloneDVD VS CloneDVD2

CloneDVD from clonedvd.net is definetly an inferior product. Check this out from the faq:

Quote:
Q: Can I compress and copy a DVD-9 movie to a DVD-5 disc?

A: The version 2.5 does not support compression, if a DVD-9 to a DVD-5, you should either copy the main movie only with the extras omitted or split the original DVD-9 movie to 2 DVD-5 discs.

The version 3.0 will be enhanced with compress function, you can compress and copy a DVD-9 to a blank DVD-5 with all contents reserved, without split it to two discs any more. You also can 1:1 copy the original to a DVD-9 disc.
Version 3 is the first version that supports compression, lol.
