hi all,

i just get the new cloneCd 4, but it doesn't recognize my burner.
i have the external firewire sony crx1600L

any comments?

Can you tell me your OS and anything else about your system? Did you know that there is a MickeySoft "FireWire" patch in Windows Update for Win9x? Details

hi FutureProof

my os is winXP, so i can't use the patch.
nero and blindwrite recognize the burner without problem,

anything else i can tell you?

...I don't have access to a FireWire device so I can't really comment any further and they're not popular yet. Is this a device that you can remove from the case...ie it has an IDE connection behind the backpane? Have you tried rescanning the bus from the Tools Menu? (Ctrl+S) a few times? Umm...I'd really like to know how this thing goes...done a SD2.51+ in BW yet? Fast? OHCI?

Have you installed ASPI 4.70 (don't take this as advice to install it)?

DMA enabled? Check the disk controllers properties in Device Manager.

Anything 'click' here?

dma enabled (tried with disabeld too, but still don't recognize)
asapi 4.7 installed (though i don't know exactly what it does

)

Why? CloneCD won't work with your burner...or have you *ahem* imaged with a previous burner?
