| CloneCD and Painkiller ??? Painkiller won't work with newest version of CloneCD installed !!! i've tried everything. searched for the ElbyVCD.dll and ElbyVCD.sys files and there not installed anywhere. if i un-install CloneCD the game works fine. anything else that i missed ??? is there a way to play the game with CloneCD installed ??? this is the original game and not a backup.

| I'm guessing that PainKiller is SD 3.20.022, just like Far Cry and Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow. This protection has blacklisted CloneCD's Hide CD-R media. I have CCD installed and run both Far Cry and Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow but without the CCD Tray. The only other thought I have is that there are some registry entries left over from when the CloneDrive was installed that the protection is picking up on. Just don't ask me what they are - because I don't know. Last time I built my machine I deliberately didn't install the CVD.

| tried with and without CCD Tray enabled. nothing works. never had CloneDrive install either. Far Cry works fine for me though with CloneCD installed.

| yup already read all that stuff and more. game will not work if CloneCD installed. aslong as CloneCD is un-installed the game works perfect. its a CloneCD issue. even with the CD-Fix patch installed, nothing seems to work. ohwell i guess i'll just leave CloneCD un-installed for now.

| Sounds like another MacroVision bug then. The DreamCatcher implementation isn't correct where the FarCry one is...... Interestingly enough I had a one-time issue with SplinterCell: Pandora Tomorrow where it wouldn't run if I'd used CloneCD in the same 'session' as it. Reboot and play and the game was fine as long as I didn't run CloneCD first that is...
