Copies disc to disc but the disc isn't playable in the car or on my PC. No audio program will recognize the music and play it back. Copied it to the hard drive but it failed on all of the tracks. Trying to backup EMI''s copy protected "Chicago Wind" by Merle Haggard. SlySoft tech isn't any help, they simply send me general info on the product. Anyone know of some software that will make backup copies of a copy protected disc?

The software works just fine, the problem is with with your player not recognizing the video files. Put it in a regular DVD player and then tell me the problem is with the software. What are your settings in the program?

I believe Shister said "audio" tracks were the problem. I think the answer may lie in finding out what type of protection EMI is using these days and then looking for the right settings in the copy program. Here is a link to some utilities that might diagnose the protection type of your cd:

Good idea but the programs are evidently too old to detect the new CD (audio)protection that EMI is using. I tried "Protection ID v5.0 Final" (most recent ID program) but it just hangs when the CD is placed in the drive and then quits responding. SlySoft has tried to tell me that it's a hardware problem but I have my doubts. I have a 4 month old HP PC. I have: DVD writer HP 640c, Firmware version ES04, Buffer size 2MB, region code 1, region control RPCII, Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00GHz 3000MHz, Bus speed 200MHz, BIOS AMI 3.21, Memory 1015 MB, Motherboard ASUSTeK Goldfish3. Still looking for help.........ideas?
