With Isobuster I can't add a file
And with WinISO I can add a file BUT I can't save it as a *.img file

Well you can't. When adding a crack the original protection will be broken. Adding a file to a CloneCD image has been asked before I think...

Why would you want to crack it, yet keep the protection?

Well FutureProof proposed this to me but maybe you can test this for us:
  1. Read the image with CloneCD as always.
  2. When writing the image leave the session open (deselect always close last session). Use other settings like you always do (AWS or not, buffer underrun prot, etc.)
  3. Write in DAO-RAW.
  4. When the disc is finished use Nero to add another session (continue multisession disc).
  5. Add the update file and finalize the disc
I have no idea if this will work or not... Please report back since I'm very curious to see if it’ll work… My guess is it won't but still...

ok . ill try it with mohaa CD1 [sd 2.51.xx] and ill reply again in 1 - 2 days

PS - G@M3FR3@K - do you work for cdfreaks and admister the forums all day, 'cos u post the reply at 1pm.feel free to ignore this if you feel it's too personal.

PS#2 - i tried [few days ago] to modify the clonecd image in winiso, convert the image to ISO using winiso, and burning the image with CD Mate but no good - the SD 2.51 protection is removed and a crack is needed. Ah well, ill try the method u explained but im more optimistic it will work.

Maybe...

OK - I have an idea which I've run past G@M3FR3@K - we think it might work, I'm testing when I get some more Best Buys 80' CD-Rs.
  • Fire up CCD, burn the image to a CD-R but DON'T close the session.
  • Fire up Nero & burn the patches/whatever to the remaining space.
  • You'll need a known CD-R that can overburn.
Be warned that some titles only work when on a certified 80' disc!

Dingo's Donga - I should actually read more carefully - sorry G@M3FR3@K!

Can't answer this for Gamefreak completely, but I do know that noone is getting paid and moderating/administrating is completely based on a voluntary basis.
