thanx for the profiles. Just tried to make a backup of Post Mortem using Alcohol 1.4.8 built 1222 but somehow it failed allthough I used the settings for laserlock. Then I did the same thing using good old CloneCD 4.3.1.9 and succeeded using the profile. Only thing I changed was 'closing the session' as it was stated in this forum.

I tried to backup SIMS Makin' Magic. I believe it has SafeDisk v2 (SafeDisc v-2.90.040) I tried the newest version of Clone CD (4.3.1.9) and used the SafeDisk 2 (amplifed) profile from your post at http://forum.cdfreaks.com/showthread...ght=SIMS+game. The backup disk works fine on one of my Win98 machines with an old Sony CDROM drive, but won't work with the other Win98 machine with a slightly newer 56X CDROM drive. I tried burning another at 2X to see if burning at a slower speed would make a difference...no good. My burner is on a third XP machine using a HP 200i burner. Any suggestions on how to get it to work on the second Win 98 machine?

They should be, except for a few protections that are either unsuitable for CloneCD or rare, or too hard to copy.

I have CLONECD 4.3.2.2, dvdburner MSI DR8-A (VERSION MS-8408A),
dvdrom ASUS DVD-E616P1 (VERSION E13051), I use verbatim cd media to backup playsation 1 games.

Does my burner support efm ?
I have tried to backup a playstation 1 game (a backup already) Tekken 3, clonecd gives error (device asus dvd can't read 96 bytes subchannel data), what to do to fix this error ?

There is no 5.0, I made a mistake. Is there a is CloneCD 4.4.3.1.0. version. The one I had did not work.

The newest version of CloneCD is 4.3.2.2, so the CCD4Regkill tool didn't enable amplify weak sectors (AWS)?

When installed the program is said turns off amplified week sectors beacuse of USA. What I thought the program was an update but was a older version. The latest version has never said amplified weak sectors turned off on install. Shall I still install the reg patch anyway? I hope I am clear

If you don't have this problem using the newest version of CloneCD, you don't have to install the patch. I'm not living in the USA, so I can't test it by myself Shanley. Another way would be to change your regional settings in Windows so there won't be any problem .

Are the profiles which are posted here also good for CloneCD or do I have to edit them? One of the admins could change the topic to "Clone CD 4/5 for download" in case they are ok for CloneCD 5.

I use CloneCD 5 and when i try to copy The Sims 2 (or another game) i cannot see the profiles menu or acces them
CloneCD starts writing without showing the posibility to choose a profile. What do i wrong here? When i'm look in the profiles sirectory the profiles are in the right place (standard profiles) .

Do i have to activate somekind of option to see or use the profiles?

BTW: The Sims 2 is a DVD .. is it posible to copy this game by just using dvd-to-dvd copy with CloneCD?
