Clone CD Program - Club CDFreaks

I have both this and Daemon Software on my computer. for the holidays i got The Sims 2. After installing The Sims, i tried running the game (suprise suprise). However, it said "CD/DVD emulation software detected. Please disable all CD/DVD emulation software and re-start the game". I removed both Clone and Daemon from my startup (MSconfig), killed the processes, removed the drives both these programs used, and disbaled everyting. But it still said the same thing. So uh.. i called EA tech support and they said it was my computer, not the game and they couldnt help. Is there any special way to remove it? Without uninstalling the program... im pretty sure im not the first one to have gotten this problem.

The game is looking for the actual files, so you need to rename the startup files and see if that will help.

uh... the real game files are there... i got the real game... ive been using this for XWA cause my CD died. thanks! i dont usually like forums cause they take too long with replies but eh.
